Junior Academy Assistant
Laura received her Bachelor of Business Management from James Madison University and a certificate in Graphic and Web Design from Boston University. She started working as a Human Resources manager for the Department of Defense shortly after graduation from college and remained there for 12 years, changing geographic locations and careers a few times before deciding to stay home with her kids after her second was born. Since leaving her desk job, she became a homeschool teacher to her children, as well as serving in teaching and teaching assistant roles for an after-school program in Arlington Public Schools and at her children’s preschool when they attended. Laura enjoys traveling, reading, being creative, and spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to working with the students at Inquisiminds as a teaching assistant!
