Karen Giacopuzzi is the founder and owner of Gadget Lab. She has a long history with computers and software, mainly through building her own PCs and working in the software field doing Process Development, Quality Assurance and Usability.
She also has a long history of volunteer activity and served as a volunteer soccer coach for 11 years and coordinated After Prom parties at local high schools.
She grew up in Los Angeles and has a BA in Liberal Arts from University of California, Santa Barbara and a Masters in International Affairs from George Washington University.
Since opening Gadget Lab she has offered workshop from her home and has provided programming for other local education organizations including Passion for Learning, Carpe Diem Arts, KID Museum and numerous public and private schools.
She loves to write and worked as a journalist before making a career change to software. Gadget Lab is the logical result of her passion for writing, gadgets, software and teaching.
