Lower Elementary Academy (Grades 2-4)

  • This is a one-day per week, 4.5-hour drop-off program for students that runs from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm. The parent is NOT required to stay on campus during this time.  All teachers have had a background check completed and are fully vaccinated. We cover literature, art, history, and science with the students. They eat a home-packed nut-free lunch and have lots of outside recess time. We run this program on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays. You choose the day that works best for you. Students are dropped off in our kiss-and-ride line and picked up at the end of the day in the same manner. Caregivers never need to leave their car!

Literature/Book-Club!

  • Welcome to Pages & Pals, a dynamic book club tailored for grades 4-6 learners! The eagerly anticipated book titles for the upcoming year will be revealed in August.  Your child is asked to read around 25-35 pages weekly throughout the year. The reading level of the text is geared towards fifth-grade ability, and audiobook options are available for almost all selections.  Classes are filled with discussions and hands-on activities that bring stories to life in exciting ways, from dissecting plot twists to chasing down curious facts. Upper academy students often need to write a half page (note taking/free-writing) and draw during this class.
  • Books to be announced at the end of July

Science – Chemistry

  • Embark on a journey into the fascinating world of chemistry! From exploring the properties of solids, liquids, and gasses to unraveling the mysteries of acids and bases, students will uncover the building blocks of matter. Dive into the wonders of chemical reactions, learn about the elements of the periodic table, and discover the magic of polymers through captivating experiments and hands-on activities. This topic will traverse the entire school year.

Art – Hands-on Art

  • Another year of art exploration is at hand – more artists, more techniques, more art mediums.  From working through drawing and painting to sculpting with clay and exploring mixed media, budding artists will unleash their creativity through a kaleidoscope of colors, shapes, and textures in this journey through the wonders of art.

Journey From Past to Present

  • Come along on a creative journey to discover people and places of the past and present. We will fly across the globe to experience the art, culture, history, and geography of ancient civilizations as well as those of today.  We’ll do this through a variety of art media, games, imagination, and fun!
