Storytelling Photography 2
Teacher: Diana Sherblom
A virtual class for tweens/ teens (grades 7-12, 12yo and up ). Intermediate | all cameras (including phones)
Have you ever wondered why some photographs are so compelling? Or how photographers capture a single moment that tells a story?
The secret isn’t in the camera you use, but in how you use it to create a visual story that evokes emotional connection.
Join us and explore visual storytelling, concepts and tools to help you tell meaningful stories.
✔ create and develop a personal project to work on throughout the class
✔ practice techniques with weekly challenges
✔ learn how to use your camera’s manual settings, choose the right exposure, lenses and techniques for your story, plus some basic editing techniques
✔ learn through observation, discussion, hands-on learning, and critiques
✔ develop a personal style and explore how your identity shapes your storytelling
Plus, I’ll share my approach, and the techniques that I’ve learned and refined over the years to create impactful personal and commercial storytelling images.
✰ Our last class will include an optional virtual gallery show, where you can share your favorite work with your family and friends.
✰ Printing your work is important! I’ll give you access to my favorite professional lab with a deep student discount.
