Non-Traditional Approaches to Drawing
Teacher: Kathryn Pettus
In this class, students will explore non-traditional methods of creating art, from using fruit juice to paint pictures, to making black paper installation art, to painting on found bird feathers, to creating artwork from coffee.
Students will create artworks of animals, the human figure, or a subject of their choosing. Students MUST have experience in prior art classes that have taught drawing in order to take this class. Students MUST have a basic knowledge of some principles of the elements of art. Students are welcome to bring own supplies to create a piece if discussed with the teacher.
