Come join us on a trip around the world with your IQ passport. We focus on a different continent each semester. The parent is NOT required to stay on campus during this time.  All teachers have had a background check completed. We run this program on Tuesdays or Fridays. You choose the day that works best for you. Students are dropped off in our kiss-and-ride line and picked up at the end of the day in the same manner. Caregivers never need to leave their car!

This semester we will travel to the continent of Oceania exploring the following countries: Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu, Samoa, Tonga, Palau, and Nauru

  • 9:30 – 10:15 – Country Studies – Students will become familiar with stories and poetry from each country that have been passed down from generation to generation. We will focus on geography and learn to recognize and identify landmarks from these countries to gain a greater appreciation for differences in how we live.
  • 10:15-10:45 – Recess
  • 10:45 – 11:30 – Music and Movement:  Students will become familiar with stories from each country that have been passed down from generation to generation. Music and dance have been known to unify different cultures regardless of cultural differences. We will help students to recognize different musical instruments, songs, and dances while having LOTS of FUN!
  • 11:30-12:00 – Nut free lunch brought from home
  • 12:00-12:40 – Art: It’s amazing how different countries use the same materials to create such different things. We will explore multiple mediums of art such as drawing, painting, mosaics, and other crafts.
  • 12:40 – 1:10 – Recess
  • 1:10-1:55 – World Language – German Hallo und willkommen!  In this fun, interactive class, students will learn German basics through games, songs, and engaging activities. They will practice greetings and simple phrases, and will learn the words for colors, numbers, animals, simple objects, movements and more! We will go over some German traditions and fun facts along the way. Kids will learn through fun question-and-answer activities and repeat-after-me exercises to build speaking confidence. This class will include games, movement-based activities, and hands-on tasks to reinforce learning.
  • 2:00 PM – Dismissal
Minimum Student Enrollment: 6
