
Fundamentals of Music Theory and Musicianship 2 – Quarter 3

Continuing on from Music Theory and Musicianship 1, this class gives students a deeper base for playing all kinds of music. In this class, I use a mixture of a piano keyboard, drums, flashcards and other media to engage students and start their path to becoming a musician.
By the end of the course, students will:
- write and identify the following major scales: C,G,D and F major
- know and write the tonic triads in C,G,D and F
- compose answering rhythms
- learn the most common performance directions
- know how to read written music, including the signs and commonly used terminology
Prerequisite: Music Theory and Musicianship 1 completion
