Academies
Inquisiminds offers a secular, 4.5-hour drop-off program with 4 distinct classes offered once a week, repeated on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. The parent is not required to stay on campus during this time. All Academy teachers have background checks completed. Students must be at least 5 years old to attend our Junior Academy program.
The cost for the Fall 2025, 12-week semester is $660. The cost for Spring 2026, 16-week semester is $880.
We offer three payment plans (click here to see details). Admissions are on a rolling basis, and the cost is prorated ($55/day). Email registrar@inquisiminds.com to enroll.

Classes offered are as follows:
Literature – High-interest, picture books are read aloud to the class. Additional activities include discussion, coloring, cut-and-paste worksheets with an opportunity for writing responses, and hands-on activities connected to the book themes.
Science – General knowledge of science topics taught with hands-on activities, coloring, cut/paste, short video clips, and illustrations, with an opportunity for writing and drawing responses.
Art – Art concepts taught using Process Art where students learn about the process and explore elements along the way.
History – Topics include ancient civilizations around the world and the Indigenous Peoples of America.
The schedule is built around 45-minute classes with 30-minute outdoor (weather permitting) recess and a 25-minute lunch.

11:30 – 11:55 pm – Lunch (brought from home, nut free)

- Students are dropped off in our kiss-and-ride line and picked up at the end of the day in the same manner. Caregivers never need to leave their cars!

Science – Deeper knowledge of science topics will be taught with hands-on activities, short video clips, illustrations from books, and handouts.
Art – Discover famous artwork, learn about the fundamentals of art, and explore artistic voice.
History – Ancient civilizations around the world and Indigenous Peoples of America.

Classes change every semester but always include literature with various electives. Academy is electronics-free time. Subjects covered in Fall 2025 were as follows:
Literature – Welcome to a dynamic book club, Bibliophile Brigade, tailored for middle schoolers. The eagerly anticipated book titles for the upcoming year will be revealed in July. Your child is asked to read around 30-60 pages weekly throughout the year. The reading level of the text is geared towards seventh-grade readability and topics, with audiobook options available for almost all selections. Classes are filled with discussions and hands-on activities that bring stories to life in exciting ways, from dissecting plot twists to chasing down curious facts. Students will give presentations to the class a few times yearly that tie into the book being read. Middle School Academy students are expected to write a full page+ (note-taking and free writing) and draw during this class.
Communications 101 – Classes built interpersonal relationships through research, debate, presentation, games, and team/leadership exercises. Students learned the power of their words, how to work with limited time, and discovered the world from another point of view.
History – Explored the key events, themes, and figures that have shaped the world in the 20th century. We began with an exploration of the revolutions that transformed China and Russia early in the twentieth century before touching on how the World Wars transformed the world power structure. We will explore how the emergence of the United States and the Soviet Union as dominant superpowers led to Cold War tensions. We explored how the fear of the spread of communism led to conflict throughout the world – especially in Korea and Vietnam. We looked at some of the new institutions, key historical figures as well as the economic transformation and technological advancements that shaped this period. Along the way, we discussed how our American culture changed from decade to decade.
Go With the Flow! Improv, Drama, and Learning to Connect, and Communicate – Teens and tweens are energetic and need a creative outlet—improv is the perfect fit! It’s fun, exciting, and sneaks in valuable skills like positivity, communication, active listening, and teamwork. In this supportive and lively class, students will explore the fundamentals of improv, storytelling, and stagecraft through games and exercises that build trust, collaboration, and confidence. They’ll practice “yes, and,” play at the top of their intelligence, and learn short-form improv techniques they can apply both onstage and in life
Academy is electronics-free, and students are asked to leave their cell phones in their backpacks during the day.
